Environmental Health

We interact with the environment everyday and that interaction with the environment can have a lot to do with our health and quality of life. Environmental factors impact everything from the quality of the air we breathe and the water we drink to the safety of the beaches we swim in and the restaurants we eat at. There are certain measures that you can take to make sure you are living your healthiest and protecting the environment.

You can protect yourself and do your part by making small, simple changes at home and in your everyday life. Some of these changes include to:

Recycle and reduce unnecessary waste

Replacing plastic water bottles with reusable ones

Report air, noise and water pollution concerns

Protect yourself from mosquitoes

Keep poisons like cleaning supplies out of reach of children

Carpool or take public transportation to school/work

Grow your own garden for fruits and vegetables

By limiting everyday actions that pollute the environment around you, whether its air, food, noise, or water, you can help prevent many health issues. PHU2 wants to encourage you - consider the environment you live in and make the simple changes to do your part in creating a safe and healthy environment for you, your family, and your community.
