COVID-19 & Schools

Since COVID-19 entered our communities in March 2020, schools have had to make difficult decisions to close their doors and explore new hybrid teaching models to balance the immediacy of traditional face-to-face instruction with the need and flexibility for remote, online learning.

The Ocean County Health Department (OCHD) recognizes the challenges many schools face 1) identifying and implementing current guidance for schools to protect staff and students from COVID-19 and 2) delivering programs to students in a safe and effective manner. To help with these challenges, the OCHD has compiled current COVID standards, guidance and health education resources so that administrators and school staff have a one-stop shop for what they need at their fingertips.
